OUR FAMILY

Brianna’s Family

Brianna’s family has a strong bond, even though her brothers live in different states. Sid Jr. is the oldest, and he lives in New Hampshire with his wife, Holly, and their dog, Gus. Adam is the middle child, and he lives in Florida with his three daughters, Emma, Luna, and Siren. All of them are featured in the top photo. We make an effort to get everyone together at least every other year, with our most recent reunification being Thanksgiving of 2024.

Tina (mom) lives about 15 minutes away from us and we love to spend time with her and take her to Saganos, her favorite restaurant. My mom is one of the strongest people I know and endured many hardships through life and still will do whatever it takes to help out her loved ones. When we told her we were working on adoption she was very excited. She has wanted to us to expand our family for some time and is looking forward to plenty of baby snuggles.

Sid Sr. (dad) passed away on May 13, 2024. Our family misses him dearly, and remember him fondly. His death was hard on all of us but has brought us all closer together. He also would sacrifice a lot to make sure his loved ones were taken care of. My parents were always known for taking in family members in their times of need, or babysitting multiple kids from both sides of the family when needed.

On top of my biological family, I’m also lucky enough to have additional family through nothing more than love. This is the family in the second photo. Growing up I never knew we weren’t “actually” related. I was about 12 when I finally made the connection that they didn’t go to Smith (dad) family gatherings, or Cobb (mom) family gatherings, and was told the devastating news we aren’t bio-relatives! This family consists of my wonderful Aunt Cheryl and her two sons, Robert and Roland II. Robert is married to Jenette and they have three daughters, Aria, Abby, and Alivia. Roland II is married to Kasey and they have three children, Roland III, Clayton, and Reagan.

And last but definitely not least, we have my cousin Tiana. Chris and I often joke that she’s our first-born daughter, because we do everything we can with her and spoil her like she’s our kid, even though we’re only 7 years apart in age. Part of the reason we go to Disney World annually is to see her, as she lives near the Orlando area. Her birthday is on Halloween, which is one of the reason’s it is one of our favorite holidays.

Chris’s Family

Chris comes from a close-knit family and has two brothers, Mike and Luke. Mike, the middle brother, is a devoted stay-at-home dad living in Virginia with his fiancée Hayley and their three daughters—Lane, Aubree, and Cora. His youngest brother, Luke, lives just 15 minutes away with his fiancée Katelynne and their three kids—Jackson, Lana, and Mia. Family gatherings are always full of energy, laughter, and little ones running around.

Chris’s parents divorced and remarried nearly 20 years ago, and he has built strong, loving relationships with both of his step-parents. His stepdad, Scott, introduced him to fishing, and the two have shared countless hours out on the water together. His stepmom, Cheryl, has been a big help with home projects and is known for her delicious cooking and beautiful landscaping ideas.

Chris shares a particularly close bond with his dad, Greg, who is a constant presence in our lives. Whether it’s building a deck, fixing something around the house, or tackling a new backyard project, Greg is always just a phone call away and eager to lend a hand.

Chris’s mom is not only his parent but also one of his closest friends. She’s the first person he turns to with questions, advice, or just to talk. Compassionate, supportive, and always ready to help, she plays a huge role in his life and is someone he can always count on.
